Went to see Rohmer's Adventures of Reinette et Mirabelle. Beyond the adorable actresses and nostalgic 80s fashion, the depth and exploration of friendship, difference, and the evolution of maturity in our human lives had me thinking throughout the night into the morning. Are we not all Reinette and Mirabelle? At least I found myself feeling like Reinette, striving to become the serene and rational Mirabelle. Perhaps one day....
